How do I choose the right size?
Sizing is easy and no measurements are needed. Adult sizes are based on weight ranges and children's sizes are based on height. Boots should always be selected in your normal shoe size, as they are designed to be roomy and insulated. If anything doesn't fit perfectly, you can exchange sizes free of charge at any of our stores during your rental period.
What is included in the winter clothing set?
Each set includes a winter jacket, insulated winter trousers, insulated boots, mittens, and a tube scarf. The tube scarf is personal and yours to keep. For children up to 134 cm, the set includes an insulated overall instead of a separate jacket and trousers.
Are the clothes warm enough for Arctic conditions?
Yes. All our clothing is specifically designed for Arctic temperatures and outdoor activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, and husky sledding.
Can I rent items separately?
The standard rental is a full set. Boots can also be rented separately at €10 per pair per day — contact us to arrange this and we will send you a secure payment link.
Can I change clothing during my rental period?
Can I wash the clothing?
No, please do not wash the clothing. We handle all cleaning and maintenance between rentals.
Do I always have to book online?
You are welcome to walk in without a booking, but we strongly recommend booking in advance through www.winterent.com to guarantee availability and correct sizes. With a confirmed booking, pickup is quick and smooth.
How to book?
Select your dates, number of travellers, and all required sizes. Your full booking will be added to the cart in one step.
How long is the rental period?
You choose your own pickup and return times. Rental pricing is based on 24-hour periods.
Examples:
- Pickup: 10 June at 09:30 → Return: 11 June at 09:30 = 1 rental day
- Pickup: 10 June at 09:30 → Return: 12 June at 09:30 = 2 rental days
- Pickup: 10 June at 09:30 → Return: 11 June at 15:00 = 2 rental days (any extra time starts a new 24-hour period)
This gives you complete flexibility to match your travel schedule without fixed pickup or return times.
When can I pick up and return the clothes?
You can pick up any time after your booking starts and return any time before it ends. Early returns do not affect the price.
What are the rental prices?
Rental pricing is based on 24-hour periods and applies per clothing set.
- 1 day — €39
- 2 days — €54
- 3 days — €67
- 4 days — €79
- 5 days — €88
- 6 days — €94
- 7 days — €99
- Each additional day after 7 days — €10
Pricing is the same for adults, juniors, and children.
Are there any discounts?
Our pricing is the same for all customers and all winter clothing set types. We do not offer separate pricing for individual items, as all rentals are provided as complete winter clothing sets.
Can you deliver to our accommodation?
Yes. Delivery and pickup service costs €40 one way per booking, regardless of how many sets are included. We typically deliver within a 20 km radius of our stores. For longer distances, please contact us.
How does accommodation delivery work?
We usually leave the items at hotel reception under your name. If your accommodation has no reception, please either be present or provide clear instructions in the "Additional information" field when booking.
Can you deliver to the airport?
Yes. Airport delivery and pickup are available.
In Helsinki, we cooperate with Excess Baggage Company, located in the Arrivals Hall at Helsinki Airport. We can deliver your winter clothing bags there before your arrival, and if you have purchased our Delivery & Pickup Service, you can simply leave the bags there at the end of your rental period and we will collect them.
Only one Delivery & Pickup Service is needed per order, regardless of how many clothing bags or travellers are included in the booking. This makes airport collection and return easy for families and groups.
Can I leave clothes at the accommodation on my last day?
Yes, if you have purchased our Delivery & Pickup Service.
Simply leave the clothing bags at your accommodation reception before the end of your rental period, and our staff will collect them. This applies to hotels and other accommodations with a reception desk.
If your accommodation does not have a reception (for example, an Airbnb or private cabin), please provide your host’s name and phone number when booking so we can arrange the pickup.
Only one Delivery & Pickup Service is needed per order, regardless of how many clothing bags or travellers are included in the booking.

You may collect your rental clothing directly from the selected store, or add our Delivery & Pickup Service during booking for additional convenience.
Can I pick up from one store and return to another?
Yes, cross-location returns are fully supported. For example, you can pick up your clothing in Rovaniemi and return it in Levi, Saariselkä, Ruka, Helsinki, Haparanda, or Tromsø.
In some cases, an additional fee may apply depending on the pickup and return locations. Please contact us before booking and we’ll be happy to confirm the available options and any possible extra charges.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your rental start time. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are non-refundable. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to rent@winterent.com, including your booking reference.
What happens if something is broken or lost?
Applicable charges are: repairable damage €50 per item, special washing €15 per set, and replacement costs for lost or irreparably damaged items — jacket €150, trousers €150, overall €150, boots €80, mittens €30, rental bag €5.
